Darkness Becomes Her (Book#1)

This was a surprise read for me. I wasn't expecting anything big from this book when I picked it up. It was in the bargain bin at my local book store. I decided to read this book because I wanted to know what she is.

This book did not disappoint! Though I did feel that it was somewhat dragging at some points, they were few and far between. I will admit though that for me it was the last few chapters that made this book so good.

There are so many things that I did not see coming! By the time you finish this book you will be itching to get your hands on the next one. I know I am.

Hallowed (Unearthly Book #2)

So I finished this book over the weekend and I have to say that this book really got to me (In a good way). I found myself really relating to the subject matter of this book. It was not at all what I was expecting to happen. Hand did great keeping the pace going, but there were some parts that I found to be repeating. Not as bad as that of Fifty Shades of Grey though. There is not much I can really say about this book with giving away the plot so I will just say this:

This book hit close to home for me. I found myself feeling real emotions while reading this book, and I can't wait to see where she is going to go from here in the next book.

I would recommend this book to anyone. This is a great series so far.

Unearthly (Book #1)

This book was surprising delight. Now from what I have read about the book and author, this is Cynthia Hand's Fist book. She has set the standard! When I first picked up this book I had no idea what it was about. (A rare act for me) I usually always read what a book is about first. But I have to say I really like the cover and was in a hurry that day so I decided to get it. I was put off when I finally did find out what it was about. Angels. Not a topic I usually read about as I am not in any way religious.

Now that being said the Hand does a great job of keeping the book neutral, as not to offend anyone and making it a universal read. People who are not as religious as others will still enjoy this book as much as someone who is strong in his or her beliefs. Everyone can enjoy this book. I liked this book so much I went out and got the next one Hallowed which I am currently reading. Although, knowing that I have to wait till January 2013 for the next one; Boundless is going to be hard, I'm sure it will be an anticipation worthy of the wait.
