Fifty Shades of Grey (Book #1)

So I started reading this book yesterday. I find myself  trying to decide  what I think of this book. E.L. James defiantly has a different style of writing than I'm used to. I am enjoying the book's plot and characters, but there are a few issues I am having with it. My biggest problem is that fact that she repeats herself so much! I'm so sick of see the words "Oh my." I haven't counted how many times it actually appears in the book but I'm sure I can't go more than 2 or 3 pages without seeing it.

Another thing, I don't need to keep reading about his eyes! I get it. They are sexy, smoldering and every other way she decided to describe them. This, of course, goes hand in hand with the repeating herself so much.

I just don't get it. I have never read this kind of repetitiveness in a novel. Can anyone give me some sight into this? Does she do it on propose? Is there a point to it? Or is it that her writing skill are lacking when it comes to thinking up different words to say the same thing? I'm still reading so maybe I will change how I feel by the time I finish the book.

So for right now I will say this:

If reader can get passed the repetitiveness of the writing and is not shocked or offended by alternative sexual lifestyles they will enjoy this book.
7.5stars

*I will give my full opinion of the book once I finish it today/tomorrow.

So I am finally finish this book. I have to say that by the last few chapters I read it just to finish it. I really like the story line and the character interaction is great but the writing could have been much better. I found myself rolling my eyes and getting annoyed with James' writing. I'm in NO hurry to read the other two books. I will eventually just to see how she is going to end this series. This is not a book I would recommend to anyone.

My official and final rating/opinion of this book is:
6stars

I am giving this book 6 stars because of the character interactions. If this had no been so well written it would be 5 stars.
Would not recommend
