The Host

Now this was an interesting read. When I first started reading this book I got as far as chapter 6 before I put it down i was so bored with it. To be honest I didn't think that I was going to finish this book at all once I put it down. Six chapters in an no interest? This tells me that I'm never going to get into the book nor am I ever going to finish it.

But if there is one thing I know about myself, it is that I hate buying books that I never finish. So here I am with no interest in reading The Host, but not willing to let the money I spent on it go to waste. So I put it aside for a while and started the Need series instead. After reading the first two I realized that I have nothing to read till I can get the next to books. Re-Enter The Host.

I force myself to start reading this book again only to find that I still am bored and falling asleep reading it. Enter UNCLE JEB!

This is where I really started getting into the book. I'm not sure now how far into the book you have to read before you are introduced to Uncle Jeb, but he makes the book worth it, and he is not not even one of the main characters! If it wasn't for good ol' Jeb I don't think I would have made it through this book.

Now in saying all this the story does finally start picking up shortly after Jeb comes into the picture. And I found myself getting more and more into the main characters. Of course i can't say anymore than that or I will ruin the book.

Let's going to the end of the book. I was so disappointed. The ending was weak and unsatisfying. I read that Meyer's might write and second and third book to turn this story into a series. In this reader's opinion she is going to have to in or to justify this ending to its readers.

My offical rating for this book is:
6.8Stars

I would only recommend this book is Mrs. Meyer does write the second and third books.
